Union Brew Lab is near the New College building at the University of Edinburgh. Union Brew Lab is a large cafe, with space inside reserved as a training lab for those who want to learn barista and coffee skills. The cafe has three distinct areas with tables in them. There is also a bar area that looks out onto the coffee bar. When you sit at the bar area, you can see coffees being made.
Union Brew Lab serves coffees from Union Hand-Roasted. Coffees from Union are available to buy at the retail counter that is situated at the store entrance. Union Brew Lab offers a range of coffees, including nitro coffee which is rare to find in speciality coffee shops. Their filter coffees are served in a metal jug and in ample portions.
